10/2 – Shawnee, Oklahoma – Aaron Chavers (4-0, 2 KO), the 70-ranked cruiserweight United States according to, will get a chance to silence any doubters this Saturday. The Rumble at Remington’s co-main event will feature Chavers, against a man he defeated by majority decision, Myron Dennis (1-1).

For Chavers, there appears to be a greater sense of focus leading up to this fight, and for good reasons. In their last go-round, Dennis scored a knockdown in the fourth round, but disobeyed the referee and struck Chavers before the action was resumed. This resulted in a multiple point deduction, which undoubtedly cost Dennis the win.

Coach Lavell Sims put Chavers through a much more rigorous training camp for this fight. Look for Chavers power at cruiserweight to follow him as he moves up to the heavyweight ranks.

During halftime of Thursday’s Steelers vs Ravens, Brooklynfights caught up with Chavers to discuss the rematch with Myron Dennis, the Minnesota Vikings chances in the NFC North, and if he still thinks the Superbowl will be a Patriots vs Seahawks matchup.
